Note to adopters: Lassie and Cleo and Rin Tin Tin and Toto don't show up in rescue. We don't get the elegantly coiffed, classically beautiful, completely trained, perfectly behaved dog. We get the leftovers. Dogs that other people have incompetently bred, inadequately socialized, ineffectively "trained," and badly treated. Most Rescue dogs have had it. They've been pushed from one lousy situation to another. They've never had proper veterinary care, kind and consistent training, or sufficient company. They've lived outside, in a crate, or in the basement. They're scared, depressed and anxious. Some are angry. Some are sick. Some have given up. But we are Rescue and we don't give up. We never give up on a dog. We know that a dog is a living being, with a spirit and a heart and feelings. Our dogs are not commodities, things, or garbage. They are part of sacred creation and they deserve as much love and care and respect as the next Westminster champion. So please, please don't come to rescue in the hopes of getting a "bargain," or indeed of "getting" anything. Come to Rescue to give, to love, to save a life -- and to mend your own spirit. For Rescue will reward you in ways you never thought possible. I can promise you this -- a rescue dog will make you a better person.

Going Home My family brought me home cradled in their arms The children loved to feed me; they gave me special treats These are the things I'll not forget - a cherished memory The kids and I would grab a rag, for hours we would tug The walks stopped, one by one; they said they hadn't time So they brought me to the shelter but were embarrassed to say why "You only have one day left", ~
The Old Ones by Unknown One by one they pass my cage, Too old, too worn, too broken, no way. Way past his prime he can't run and play, Then they shake their heads slowly and go on their way. A little old man, arthritic and sore, It seems I am not wanted anymore. I once had a home, I once had a bed, A place that was warm, and where I was fed. Now my muzzle is grey, and my eyes slowly fail, Who wants a dog so old and so frail? My family decided I didn't belong, I got in their way, my attitude was wrong. Whatever excuse they made in their head Can't justify how they left me for dead. Now I sit in this cage, where day after day, The younger dogs get adopted away. When I had almost come to the end of my rope, You saw my face and I finally had hope. You saw through the grey, and the legs bent with age, And felt I still had life beyond the cage. You took me home, gave me food and a bed, And shared your own pillow with my poor tired head. We snuggle and play, and you talk to me low, You love me so dearly and want me to know. I may have lived most of my life with another, But you outshine them with a love so much stronger. I promise to return all the love I can give, To You, my dear person, as long as I live. I may be with you for a week or for years, We will share many smiles, you will no doubt shed tears. And when the time comes that God deems I must leave, I know you will cry and your heart will grieve. And when I arrive at the Bridge, all brand new, My thoughts and my heart will still be with you. And I will brag to all who will hear, Of the person who made my last days so dear. ~ ![]() Foster homes Foster homes are very much needed to care for dogs in a home environment while their new homes and prospective owners are home checked. During this time the dog can be assessed and relevant information can be used to help decide on the most suitable placement. This information can also be passed on to their new owners to help them adjust and prepare for their new dog.

Dogs in need On this page are some of the dogs currently in need of loving forever homes. Before we allow anyone to adopt a Cane Corso or any other breed from our rescue, they must meet a certain criteria and will be expected to have an interview and their home will be vetted. We will also issue a contract to protect the welfare of the dog and expect all prospective new owners to abide fully by the contract. We always ask for an adoption fee, this fee does vary depending on the dogs age & general health. All of this fee will go back into the rescue so that we can use it to help pay for neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, feed & the general day to day care of more dogs in need. Every dog in our care will be vet checked, vaccinated, wormed & neutered or spayed before being re-homed. An experienced dog trainer will do a temperament evaluation and prospective owners will be invited to spend time with the dog so the rescue can assess how well the dogs bonds with the people and how the people take to the dog. We will not place an adult Corso in a home with small children, unless we are fully aware of the background of the dog and happy that children have played an active part in the dog's previous home. If you are considering re-homing one of the dogs in our care we would like to ask that you take the time to speak to people who know the breed and to be 100% sure that you can offer that dog the correct training and care & of course please contact us. If you would like to apply to adopt one of the dogs in our care please Email Jackie- Rescue Co-ordinator
If you wish to contact us for any other reason please go to our contact page for more ways get in touch with one of our rescue representatives. If you are interested in adopting a rescue from being needlessly euthanized in today's disposable society feel free to email.
Be perpared for a battery of questions regarding your purpose for wanting a Molosser breed of dog .

If you would like to know more about any of the dogs below please only call or email the rescue contact named in the dogs description. YOU WILL NEED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THESE DOGS AS WE DONT HAVE CONTACT WITH THEM... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Inca is a gorgeous 4 year old Neopolitan Mastiff.
Inca would be best in an adult only household as she has spent several years living in kennels and needs time and support to readjust to normal home life.
Due to her background, Inca has had little exposure to other dogs, but with the right management she is slowly learning to greet them nicely and is even starting to play.
Inca seems to know lots of commands, loves travelling in the car and walks nicely on a lead. She is not destructive at all and is just a lovely girl."
I'll keep my fingers crossed!

************************************************************ ROLO A young male This wonderful young male is still waiting for his new home he is a great lad just needs the right owner/s to bring him along
Rolo is a very friendly loving male presa canario pup of a year old. and is a dark black brindle with the longer majero hair. he has no known fears and is very confident. He is chipped and tattooed. Has lived in outdoor kennels but would adjust well to living indoors with patience. He loves to play and play and play, with either adults or children, although it would probably be better if these children were older. He gets on with cats but will chase them if they run. He needs to be fed on his own with no other pets around him. Rolo loves to cuddle and kiss, he knows his sits, downs and walks well on a lead. Rolo gets on well with female dogs. He will be castrated before he leaves here (and will leave with no papers but we will always be available for help and advice with him ) A home check will be done. He is free to the right home although we expect the new owner to pay for his castration to show commitment, before he leaves us. For further information or to visit Rolo please call 07708 602 306 ****************************************
